Prayer for Episcopal Church Women
Almighty God, bless, we pray, our work in mission and ministry in the world; and make us so thankful for the precious gift to us of your beloved Son, that we may pray fervently, labor diligently, and give liberally to make known throughout the world the redeeming love of our Savior. AMEN.
Episcopal Church Women
Tuesday, October 14, 2014 Meeting
The meeting opened with Eileen Sidelnick, president of the ECW welcoming everyone. Since Grace Cecil was unable to attend instead of having our usual devotional we said the Lord's Prayer in there place. A lovely array of tempting delights was next on the evenings agenda, all who attended partook of the deliciousness, thanks to our Hostesses Lynn Heisey, Dolores Coleman, and Lucia brought some yummy crepes in which you can find on the day of the bazaar for a morning pick-me upper, down at Wiley's cafe at the window. Once the treats were well consumed than the bible word search game began, great fun was had by all. The business part of the meeting started soon after prizes were awarded and it consisted of no secretary's report, unfortunately she was out sick, the treasurer's report given by Dolly Smith, followed by the Committee Reports on the Lebanon County Christian Women (Eva Readinger), Sunshine (Gloria Shirk), Shut-Ins (Lynn Heisey), and Wernersville (Marilyn Galebach & Debbie Harris). Old business was then discussed, which encompassed Back to Church Sunday, the Annual Holiday Bazaar Report, Candy making plans, LCCM Theme Basket, Christmas Stockings, and the purchase of a new sink and faucet for the kitchen/cleaning of the stove and oven. New business was brought to light concerning the St. Luke's Day Reception and a signup sheet was passed around.
Our next meeting will be held on Tuesday, November 11, at 6:30 PM, our the event of the night will be filling up of Christmas Stockings for the Lebanon County Christian Women and those that receive them. Hope to see you there

May’s ECW Meeting
Tuesday, May 15th ECW ended their formal church season with a TEA PARTY. The theme was hats and we had quite the array of hats ... old, new, work, fun, etc. A total of 58 ladies ranging from St. Luke's members to guests attended the event. The ladies enjoyed an evening of finger sandwiches, fruit, desserts, and of course TEA! The ladies were asked to wear their 'thinking caps' as they participated in some word challenges and guessing games. We also voted on a charity geared towards women's needs, and after all votes were tallied the winner was 'Dress for Success'. The total monies collected from the TEA PARTY event amounted to $355 and will be sent along with a letter to that worthy cause.
