Summer at Saint Luke’s

The Saint Luke’s Quartet offers musical reflection on Fourth of July Weekend.

Because of the heat of July and August, we take a break from worshiping in our beloved Nave and move our worship to our air-conditioned Auditorium. Here, we enjoy a more relaxed style of worship featuring hymns from The Hymnal 1982 led on our Moller Tracker Organ. As the Choir takes the summer off, each Sunday a different soloist or ensemble offers music during the offertory and communion. This summer we welcome the following musicians to Saint Luke’s to lead us in worship:

June 18: Morgan Hackett, Violin
June 25:  Gwendolyn Bowers, Mezzo-Soprano
July 2:  Saint Luke’s Quartet
July 9:  Beverly Hudson, Soprano
July 16:  Daniel Welmer, Piano
July 23:  Yolanda Carey, Soprano
July 30:  Katherine Hoopes, Violin and Kathy Becker, Viola
August 6:  Lydia Klinger, Flute
August 13:  Saint Luke’s Quartet
August 20:  Kathy Yohn, Soprano
August 27:  The Nazeeri Family, Violins
September 3:  Lisa Egresits, Soprano
September 10:  Jonathan Hudson, Counter Tenor
