The Episcopal Church Women’s Summer Retreat is a time set apart for prayer, conversation, and rest. We gather to deepen our faith, encourage one another, and reflect on God’s presence in our daily lives.

Your registration helps us plan shared meals and activities that support spiritual growth and fellowship. All women connected to an Episcopal church in the area are warmly invited to take part in this time of renewal together. Registration is limited to 24 participants.

Your $5 nonrefundable registration fee will be donated to a local food pantry.

Everyone should bring:

• A Bible
• 2 or more cans of condensed cream soup (2 cans will be needed for the exercise class). ALL cans will be donated to a local food pantry, and raffle tickets will be awarded for all soup can donations

Tentative Schedule:

8AM – 8:45 AM: Doors open, continental breakfast with coffee, tea
9 – 9:30 AM: Gathering prayer/ Group exercise – outdoors or inside for rain
9:30 – 10:15 AM: Group Bible study – ”Unlikely Heroes of the Bible – The 5 Daughters of Zelophehad” (their courageous stand for justice that changed history) / Numbers 27:1-11. Presenters Mother Mary Kisner and Debbie Bush
10:30 – 11 AM: Hope Sanctuary time
11:15 AM – Noon: Nature scavenger hunt (rain alternative: Bible scavenger hunt)
Noon to 1:30: Lunch and free time/ Bible connections game
1:30 – 1:45 PM: Body scan meditation
2 – 3 PM: Group Bible study – “Unlikely Heroes of the Bible – Abigail” (the power of humility and wisdom) / 1 Samuel 25. Presenter Kathy Yohn
3 – 3:45 PM: Craft session
3:45 PM: Basket raffle drawing
4 PM: Closing prayer

Menu:

A catered cold luncheon with beverages will be served at no extra charge as part of the registration packet. Vegan and gluten free choices will be available. The lunch will feature “farm to table” fresh local produce.

Mains:
V/GF Buckwheat soba noodles with grilled eggplant and tomatoes. Features cilantro and a sesame oil dressing.
GF Gourmet chicken salad, served either on a lettuce leaf or croissant

Sides:
GF Greek quinoa tabbouleh. Features cherry tomatoes, cucumber, Kalamata olives and feta cheese
GF Caprese. Features cherry tomatoes, Manzanilla olives, fresh mozzarella, balsamic vinaigrette dressing.
Bagged potato chips
Fresh fruit tray

Desserts:
Baked goods medley
