St. Luke’s Festival Choir is a community choir of singers from several faith traditions united by a love for traditional sacred music sung in the setting for which it was intended. The Choir rehearses on Tuesday evenings and sings one Sunday evening each month September through June. Sunday evening services are usually Evensong (using service music and anthems written for this ancient Anglican Vespers service) followed by a concert of sacred or classical music by an organist or instrumental ensemble, but the Choir also sings longer services (Advent and Epiphany services of lessons and carols) and major works (a Requiem each November and Bach cantatas with chamber orchestra). We welcome inquiries for Bill Claxton (choirmaster) (717 507-1901) or Terry Heisey (Director of Music) (717 926-9687) and your participation.
