The St. Luke’s Festival Choir offers Choral Evensong for Corpus Christi (translated “body of Christ”) on Sunday, June 2, at 6 PM in the Sanctuary of St. Luke’s. We will feature the Preces and Suffrages of Ron Howell, Psalm 116 set by Edward John Hopkins, the B Flat Evening Canticles of Charles Villiers Stanford (celebrating the centennial of his death), and anthems O Sacrum Convivium by Brian Hoffman and Ave Verum Corpus by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. The liturgy will conclude with Solemn Benediction, the liturgical exposition of the consecrated body of Christ to the Congregation.
This event is free and open to the public. A freewill offering will be taken.
